Scratched a stopped auto

as the title says I as of late scratched a stopped auto as I was leaving the sound. I sat tight quietly for the proprietor to leave Tescos so as to go on my subtle elements . I was initially going to deal with it without experiencing protection yet it has taken a while for them to get a quote, now that I have gotten a quote it is essentially an excess of (have photos of the harm). 
I for one don't have to repair my auto however they need to repair theirs. What if I do right now, it's been four months since the episode. I've requested that they go straight through there protection to mine.
